Sahib Pashazade is a masterful representative of Mugham music with the short-necked lute Tar, which was added to the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2003. His musical career is impressive. Born in Baku in 1980, he graduated from the Azerbaijan National Conservatory with an honorary diploma. Sahib Pashazade is a member of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic, taught at the Conservatory and got appointed Associate Professor. In addition to his academic career, he participated in concert tours all over the world.
In combination with the equally renowned Nagara drum virtuoso Kamran Kerimov and Azad Alimammadov on the Balaban (wind instrument), the extraordinary trio presents a rich repertoire of instrumental Mugham pieces.
