The four extraordinary singers Noura Mint Seymali (Mauritania), Malika Zarra (Morocco), Souad Asla (Algeria) and Dighya Mohammad Salem (Sahara) bring their common musical heritage to public stages with their new project "Les Sahariennes".

On the day before their concert at Theater Akzent, the artists Malika Zarra and Souad Asla will talk about the musical traditions and cultural life in the neighbouring Saharan countries to Marko Kölbl, from the Institute for Folk Music Research and Ethnomusicology at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

The interview will be conducted in English.
